The leak
Selling to strangers who owe you nothing.
A client site gets judged once, at launch. A product gets judged by every visitor, every day.
There’s no client to credit here. We had the problem, a kid quietly deciding they’re bad at math, we built the fix, and then we had to sell it to parents with no reputation and no referrals behind it.
That turns out to be the most useful thing we own. Pricing, the trial, how loudly to state cancellation, what a page has to prove before anybody signs up: we learn those here, on our own money, and the numbers come back whether we like them or not.
So when we tell a client to put the price on the page, name the objection out loud and make leaving easy, it isn’t advice we read somewhere. It’s what we do on the product that pays us directly.
